We're back, finally, from a huge road-trip Secondhand took this last weekend. It was really, really fun as we went across America (well, it felt like it) to play a show at Barclay University in Haviland, Kansas. Also, on our trip down we picked up our trailor from our good friends Mara and Doug in Chicago.

It was Justin VanHook and the Secondhand guys vs. the world. A lot of crazy things happened thoughout the trip, not to mention huge storms that locals laugh at (including a tornado warning during our first song), practically gambling with quarters at truck stops, and being in a van for 30 hours driving 65 MPH all the time, everytime. Actually, we managed to cram everything we own plus 4 people into my purple mini-van, including a folded up seat that would soon be a sweet luxary after we picked up our trailor. It was these 3 hours down there that broke us all, cramming 3 people into the two front seats, although sometimes I'd lay in the 24 inch gap between our equiptment and the ceiling. Brandon said it was like stuffing a 2 ton pea into a 12 pound pod, or something...

We had a lot of fun on the trip, and hopefully we can come back to Kansas, and have more stops along the way soon, very soon.

Thanks everyone at Barcaly for giving us food and fun, and making the trip worth it!

Hey everyone! We just got back from a small string of shows this weekend in Clarkston, MI and Mason, MI. They were both really sweet.

In Clarkston we played at Club 5529 - opening for Hello Kelly, a sweet band from Canada. The band Search the City was lined up to play, but they couldn't make it out to the actual show. The show was a great time - this place was HUGE too; fully equipted with a giant skate park, two stages, eight pool tables - it was cool. Anyways, the show was really great.

Next we went to Mason MI to open for Boink - a cool rock band (used to be ska, but lost their horns in a tornado (or something like that) ). They are so cool, and they have a new CD coming out - check out their MySpace : myspace.com/boink. That show was fun, we met a lot of new friends down there - which made it ten times more fun beacuse we've never been to Mason before - although I've dreamed of places like it too much. You get my point, it was just fun.

The shows were great, we'll be back there soon hopefully - thanks everyone for coming out!

Before I go, I want to throw in some info on the show we're hosting in Battle Creek - with Disceples Peak and For All We Know. This show is going to be HOT - at the Friends Chuch. More info is at our myspace - myspace.com/secondhand and our tour page on website - secondhandrock.com. Check it out and stop by to say hi if you're in the area!

Thanks for rockin' with us - see all you locals at the show at OakCrest on April 28th (w/ Everyday Sunday, Boink, and For All We Know).

P.S. Sorry - the links aren't launching in a new window, I'm not sure why - but just keep track with your <- back arrow if you're checking them out (which you should).

Hey. Well we just threw up some more shows onto our MySpace calendar/Upcoming Events station, so check that out! They're all really sweet, if I do say so myself.
Here's the low-down on them (at least the soonest ones) :

Friday, March 17th: @ Cornerstone University Show starts at 7:30 w/ The Vigilanties and Tears for Juliet

Friday, March 24th: @ Club 5529 Show starts at 8:30 w/ Search the City and Hello Kelly ages 16+

These are the newst shows coming ... I realized I don't want to repeat myself like 100 times in the LiveJournal, MySpace Blog and this Bulletin. Check those out (and our Tour page at our website - secondhandrock.com) for more info.

::OTHER FUN STUFF::

Look at your desktop, what is there? A palm tree? A panda bear? Stone Henge? Some curvy lines that just make you sick every time you look at them? Well I think it's time to hit up Secondhand's Media! We have buddy icons, desktop wallpapers, and there's also the Merch. section and the Tour section etc.
So it's time for that stupid panda to become extinct from your computer's desktop and let the ambiance of Secondhand brighten your day with a fresh, hot, wallpaper (Designed by our own Aaron Eikenberry and Doug VanderMullen - the guy who did our EP).

It's been a while since the last post, so I thought I'd throw some fun stuff your way and let you have at it.

Seeya!

Hey everyone! So I'm just home from Skelletones - and let me be the first to say that this was a really, really fun show - one of the most fun we've played in a while. So not much to say, we played with a ska band and an old-school rock band, which they were really funny, oh and of course Blake Jordon w/ J Hook :-). Brandon actually won and XXL shirt, and with the help of Justin and me, we made it XXXXXXL (by fitting me in the back with him too)! The sound system is totally sweet down there and loud and it's really nice for us on stage w/ monitors etc. - I'm just pumped - Murph rules, that's what I'm trying to get at.
Hopefully we'll be there again soon!
We'll be gone for the next week as Secondhand is taking a huge trip down to Nashville for some fun fun fun - I don't really know what to expect... but just keep us in your prayers and thoughts while we're down there in meetings.
Don't forget about our next show in Battle Creek, at their Friends Church with D.P. and F.O.T.M.S. and R.S. (don't forget us, Sh - well it's one word so I'm not sure how you do that one...)
I'll try and find time to post if I get a chance while we're down there and keep you guys updated.

Seeya guys, thanks for a GREAT show at Skelles-
Keep it real!
